Rebecca Donaldson

Rebecca Donaldson is a PhD student in Positive Developmental Psychology at Claremont Graduate University. Her Herstory project will focus on providing individuals once diagnosed with "Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)" a space to process their lived experiences through memoir writing. It is her goal to provide this space so that survivors of childhood trauma, once given the label of "BPD", can have the opportunity to explore what happened to them in a space free of diagnostic labels and epistemic injustice. This population has not historically had the opportunity to explore their lived experiences and identities, nor share them. Rebecca believes doing so may help them to abandon the narratives they have been told about themselves and instead, create their own.
